If you have an Apple router, you can extend your wifi network easily by adding an Airport Express to it.
If you don't have an Apple router, google "range extender."
Put it between the strong signal and the area where the signal is weak. Don't put it where the signal is weak.

This has probably been done to death but I thought I'd give it a shot as a I need Wifi Booster for Dummies. My Kibbeboy switched rooms. This room has very tepid wifi. So much so that our bill has skyrocketed due to his wifi going out and him not knowing and/or not caring. We investigated and yeah, this room sucks. It's the only room in the house that we have issues. Can we purchase one of those plug ins for his room or that area to help solve this problem?
I can't feasibly see how to move my router as it's plugged into my computer. Thoughts? Suggestions?
