What greater priority is there than ensuring kids get the rigor that they are capable of?!!!!   That doesn’t make any sense at all!!! What then is education?????!????

A short personal answer: Giving every student the foundation to do what he or she is capable of after graduation. (School is broad. Education is long.)

which basically means giving the students all that they are capable of doing.  Which means rigorous classes for all whatever level they may be capable of handling. Not too much and not too little. Which means leveling.
