Please take her back!

Well...I just scanned the pretty kitty and no chip. She has to have been someone's pet. She is declawed and very friendly. A real sweetheart. I hope someone sees this post and is or knows the owner.

Checking with local vets might help yield some clues -- maybe someone will recognize her as one of their patients? Or putting up flyers on phone poles around the area? I know it's extra work, but not everyone reads MOL.

I was thinking that perhaps she had an elderly owner and they passed away and someone let the cat out. She is so sweet and friendly but she goes somewhere after stopping by my place for a bite to eat. Sometimes she is very dirty, other times she appears to be very clean. She needs a good brushing!

Did you try following her to see where she goes? Maybe she goes back to the place where she lived just to see if her caretaker is coming back. Oscar22cute is right about the cat. I met the cutie and she is gorgeous, friendly and is just asking for some loving. Maybe she will let you brush her one day. Did you name her yet?

You might be on to something there... often a cat is very confused following the owner's death and doesn't understand where they are supposed to be, because everything has changed.

That is so sad. Our cat lost his litter mate and canine "sibling" within a week, and walked around the house sadly meowing and looking behind the curtains for his buds. I truly hope some one steps up and adopts this beautiful cow-cat. Won't be us, as we are already dangerously close to crazy-cat-family status.
