Disturbing plans for South Mountain archived

I'm warming up to the idea of signs on South Mountain. How about a huge revolving LED screen that cycles through MOL categories 24/7. Or better, that just cycles through Soapbox Politics. Maybe run a Geico ad every 30 minutes, for levity.

I'm planning on floating a giant blimp over my property with advertising for the News Record on the side.
However, we are negotiating this deal in a top secret cave under South Mountain so don't tell anybody.

It's too late -- they removed the South Mountain Reservation this morning. They must have mistaken it for one of the Millburn Speed Humps on Glen Avenue. Oh well...

It is Dave and Jamie. They plan to use the sign to promote their commercial empire.

Why would we advertise to our existing audience? Other side of the mountain, maybe....

Well that was a waste of two minutes. Their "website" has nothing on it, although it has "rumors."

Hell, if I want rumors, I come to MOL. No need to go exploring somewhere else.

How about a big red, glowing V to welcome the Visitors and show them where to land. I understand parts of the Reservation are very hospitable to reptiles....... ("V" is back on Tuesday nights...)

I'm trying to imagine how big the advertising sign would have to be in order for it to be legible down in the valley... I remember when they built the Top, or whatever it's called, and there were protests, they floated a very huge weather balloon for weeks and it was almost invisible. We're talking something on the order of that enormous Colgate sign with the clock on the Hudson... (Love that sign!!)
