"Discerning crowd"?

Now THAT'S hilarious!

question

Now that Vacanulo who waved his mock superiority of the MOL crowd with regularity has officially left the district..........I see he has been replaced, by another out of the area contributor.

As if you're concerned by the 20K posts on a thread by a Rhode Islander, lol.

I could care less from what place on earth some one posts on MOL.............I have contributed from Athens Greece and the Greek Islands and will be doing so again in the Spring. Others have written in from different parts of Europe and Asia.

What annoys me is someone who more than once has disparaged the intellectual level of MOL'ers as a whole.........and yet continues to contribute, if you would call it that, on a regular basis. Not loling

Yes, inside the bubble where the intellectual level of anyone who isn't left of center gets disparaged daily . . . the intolerance of the people who demand tolerance is the coin of the realm here, but you know that.

Where I come from, "bubble" is rhyming slang for Greek. The more you know.

Yet, you HAD to mention I am an " out of area contributor"? Oh and kudos on throwing in your trips/pending trips to Greece (why is that relevant ?) BFD.

@johnlockedema

+1 million!

JLD.............Why would anyone continually post in a forum when they consider the others poster their intellectual inferiors? Oh wait.........
silly question.

Relevant to the fact that I too have posted from out of the area. I thought that was self evident.

As a public service, of course. Centrists and people right of center have unyielding faith that hope exists for intellectual salvation.

Let me know how it work out.

You can keep your fetish fantasies to yourself, emmie! grin)

or it's trolling. I can't believe john didn't post this story purposely to get the reaction he got. particularly when he called it "hilarious." I clicked on the link expecting a song parody or something that showed some creativity. of course it was disappointing to find out the "hilarious" link was to a poll that concluded the popular governor would beat a musician in an election.

I was hoping we'd have a Christie speech auto tuned to Dancing in the Dark or Thunder Road, and instead I got a link to a story about bored pollsters. so yes, I am "discerning" when it comes to comedy. and that wasn't comedy. But it was ok, because the thread got a lot funnier when ridski and nohero commented. oh oh

Ahhh yes, "trolling" because God forbid anyone have a differing opinion.

I'm not the one that plays them out in public, darlin.

no, it's trolling because no one with a sense of humor would find that link "hilarious." did you read that story and find yourself at the computer with tears rolling down your face because of uncontrollable laughter? could anyone really think that story would have a typical person doubled over with laughter? of course not.

JLD did not express a political opinion.............he placed the post in question to get a reaction. That is trolling.

So the Star Ledger trolled when they posted the story?

And hey, I admitted that Christie has a Bruce brocrush!

Question for today: Christie or Bieber? Or should that be a separate thread?

Israeli version: Bibi or Bieber?

Gotta be separate, because isn't Bieber Canadian?

Don't encourage him. He is out imagining bubbles every where he looks.

I'm more interested in knowing if Bruce would beat Bon Jovi in the Democratic primary.

Bruce..........going away

JLD, assuming we can define your use of bubble as "A protective, often isolating envelope or cover"...

And given your beloved GOP's election results in 2012 and 2008, ie stinging losses...

And those stinging losses being at least partly attributable to clinging to a shrinking demographic base of older white men, in the face of unprecedented demographic shifts in the electorate...

Isn't it more accurate to say YOU are the bubble dweller?

Now THAT'S worthy of LOL!

There are those who dwell in their own separate realities.

A 3 million vote difference out of 120 million cast sure doesn't seem like a stinging defeat to me-and Obama had a closer race than in 2008.

If the '12 election taught us anything, it's that the Romney folks were the bubble-dwellers: to repeat, all those private jets parked at Logan to attend the victory party; all those predictions wildly at odds with polls and reality; the Rove meltdown on live TV. If anyone needed further proof of a self-perpetuating alternate reality bubble, well, there you go...if anything, this lefty and many MOL libs were a tad nervous and there were quite a number of humorous media references (like the NYer cartoon I posted) about libs checking Nate Silver every 15 minutes in order to settle themselves down. Bubble? There's yer bubble, ma'am.

Better check the most recent counts, jld.

I thought that the facts had pretty much retired that argument.
