here's a twitter thread about strategies. Not too many people agree with the opening tweet
I've been doing well with Wordle and that's exactly what my strategy has been. I alternate between two words that have four different vowels to start.
It's probably mentioned in that Twitter discussion. I start with either 'adieu' or 'miaou'.
And, sometimes, I don't start with either of them but, instead, begin with a word which contains two vowels and two of the common consonants. It's a learning exercise as I go along.
My FB feed is FILLED with friends’ Wordle results for the day. Really? I’m as interested in their Wordle results as I am in their fantasy football team. When someone gets it in one guess, that might be of interest. Otherwise, meh.
I’m guessing posting results will quickly fade ways as people stop “liking” or commenting on them.
I only post my Wordle results in discussions about Wordle. Otherwise it seems weird to share on Twitter or my FB feed. I haven't even shared my Queen Bee results from the NYT Spelling Bee
I got today's Wordle on the second try after using my consonant-filled word for guess #1, which matched 3 letters, with one in the correct spot. In re-arranging them, I was like, wait, they wouldn't use *that* word! But, then I remembered it also has a non-slang meaning.
I also do Jamie's Jumble, but only really have patience to do one word of it. That being said, I wasn't previously familiar with the first word in today's Jamie Jumble... but it also kinda sounds like slang.
Has anyone else been doing Jamie's game? You get 5, count 'em. FIVE chances to be mystif, I mean entertained each day,
I played Jamie's game once and it pissed me off I got 4 out of 5 right, but when it gave me my score at the end, it said I got 0 out of 5. One and done for me. Keeping correct score is the minimum I expect from a game.

So sorry about that - had a little glitch - should be fine now - please let me know of you get the wrong count at the end.
I have plenty to do with the archive created from the original and it works great. I thought I posted the link but perhaps not. And it's made with love by Devang Thakkar. https://www.devangthakkar.com/wordle_archive/

found another issue I'd consider a glitch. If you guess a double letter, your game highlights both instances, even if the letter is only in the word once. Wordle will only highlight the letter once if it isn't in the word twice. Your version sends you on a wild goose chase trying to figure out where to place a letter that isn't actually in the word.
I almost blew it today. I shouldn't do this game before coffee. I guessed a word that had letters where I should have known them didn't belong.
But I still got it on the last guess. Whew.
today was pretty difficult. First two guesses netted me only one vowel. But I got it in 5
Got it in four, but same about the one vowel.
I'll wait until tomorrow so as not to spoil it for anyone, but today had more than one aspect that have a tendency to trip me up.
Even with that clue, and knowing what those aspects likely were, it still took me 5.
yesterday's word was tough because it had only one vowel that's not in my typical first guess, as well as a double letter, and its first two letters were consonants. For me, it was a triple whammy

Actually, my version more accurately depicts the rules of wordle. It says that color reflects that the letter is in the word and in the wrong spot - period. So, I don't consider this a glitch. Seems like wordle is making it easier.
Wordle requires real words - mine doesn't so that's a big difference.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that. I don't think a puzzle is fair if part of its design can lead you down a blind alley. especially one with a limited number of guesses.
Unfortunately the characters they use when you copy the results - don't paste properly in here. I think people pasted it elsewhere then took a screenshot.
