I don't like the colors, but I guess I can get used to it.

I really don't like that it no longer differentiates between threads that I was following. You used to have three colors, threads you hadn't read (white), threads you'd read, but which had new posts (yellow) and threads that you were completely caught up on (brown). It made it easy to skim. Now everything is either read or unread.

damn it, I actually have to look at the page more closely now, I can't just tell with a quick glance which threads are which.

I'm going to be an asshat now, if anyone wants to help me go harangue Dave, I understand he is at Bunny's as I type this.

Well, I was going to link to the image I posted on Friday, but it seems like all the images are missing, bastards!

I preferred the previous color scheme - at least for the backgrounds - where there were very distinct colors as spontaeous mentioned. There seems to be much less contrast now. However, I'm liking the speed of the new version!

Well Monster, if Dave is at Bunny's right now, it may explain why these changes are so damned stupid. I suspect alcohol may have been involved in the redesign. Lots of alcohol.

Actually, it is a lot faster than it used to be.

Also, when starting a new discussion it no longer automatically choses the Welcome Area, it choses the last category you were actually in. This may be good, but I'm sure people will still get confused and put stuff in the wrong area.

Well, I found the edit and quote options, but I don't know how to use them. It seems you can only edit your last post, and I have no idea of how to use the new quote function.

Spooky, now the quotes and edits links are suddenly back. I think Dave did that on purpose to make me look crazy. I'm not crazy, really, I swear it wasn't there before.

Well, the three colors scheme seems to be back, but I think the completely unread threads should be white, and the read but updated ones should be yellow (like on the old version). They now have it reversed.

Guess they're tweaking and fixing it as they go along.

It wasn't there before. So in this area, and this area alone, you're not crazy spontaneous. :wink: I just went back and edited a post that waited patiently with wrong words for me to get back to. As far as being quicker, Dave has always claimed the board was not slow; it was our computers which were. Right Dave?

We have returned 8 computers to Apple saying that there was something wrong 'cos they were sooooo slooooow and finally they refused to accept this one back saying that we were trying it on - they just wouldn't understand that they were making very very slow computers...

Mr SOP and I were at the point of despair not knowing what we could do to speed up these things and then you go and tweak MOL and lo and behold, you fixed the speed problem with our mac!

Apple will be so pleased when we tell them and i'm sure they'll be contacting you about a patch for their system.

Oh lordy lord. Give the guys a break. They barely slept last night and Dave is trying so hard to get a break. The moment he was a bunnies some crazy lady with her two dogs showed up to force him to commit to a petcorner. I mean really...give these wonderful lovely guys a break....

Actually I didn't know he was there. I went to the woods with my dogs and they were wet so I figured I'll sit outside at bunnies and have a shandi (half beer/half sprite) and wait for them to dry out. The Davster came out looking mighty tired so I just asked him and took the "it's being considered" with a gratious thank you.
