What's the best way to dispose of a pile of yard waste in Maplewwod?

We had a big pile of yard waste that we finally went through and culled for usable firewood, compostable trimmings, etc and are left with a pile of pieces of roots (mostly) and stones. Any recommendations on who to call to haul it away or any other way to get rid of it

Do you have a neighbor who pays Waste Management to take this stuff away every Wednesday morning? Maybe that person would let you put your can of roots with his or her cans of stuff. Or if you think this would happen more than once, you could call WM and sign up for the program, it's pretty cheap. Something like $75 for the summer. No stones though. But gardeners love stones of any kind, if there are gardeners on your block, offer them to those gardeners.

I've been thinking about that, but it is probably 6 or more cans worth. And since we would still have to deal with the rocks, I don't think it would be worth it. (We are WI customers, but I think they have the same deal, but we did not sign up for it.) I don't really think that these rocks would be that desirable to gardeners.

Put it in the brown lawn bags and bring it to the West Orange recycling center (590 Mount Pleasant Avenue). You can drive in and drop them off - nobody checks residency. Every day but Sun.
