Water Discolored

Was refilling a couple of water bottles.  The first one was clear, the next two looked like weak ice tea.  Any alerts from the water company?

Road work being done near you today could be the culprit.

I just called the water company as mine was brown as well.  They said there was no alert in the area and they would respond within 1-24 hours.

We are on Park Road in Maplewood and are having this same issue. Seemed to start in the mid-afternoon as far as I can tell.

our water in college hill is silty as well.

We're still having the same problem and we're across from Jefferson Elementary on Ridgewood...Anyone else? I wonder if this is tied into the school lead issue?

We are on Audley in South Orange and we have the same problem.  Any news from the water company?

Just called water co and they said they are doing some flushing and that it should clear up in an hour.  We have been having this problem since I ran a bath for my kid last night so it must be some flushing they are doing. I am glad I didn't start the load of laundry that I was thinking about doing. 

One would think there would be some way they could give us some notice on this stuff.

Yes notice would be nice! I'm CERTAIN we consumed some of the "brown stuff" for several hours (though after running the taps it seemed to clear up)...
