Waste Management Bagster/Municipality Question

Just bought a house in Maplewood, tore out the carpet today and filled my Waste Management bagster with the detritus. I scheduled a pickup from Waste Management and they give you a 3 day window without a hard commitment. Am I going to get a ticket or fine from the municipality for having it on my lawn until they pick it up?

Thanks.

I've left Bagsters out on our driveway for a few days before pickup several times over the years and never had any issues. PS if you've never seen them pick one up with the crane, it is pretty cool!

I know this is an old thread, but can either of you tell me who the local Waste Management vendor was for your bags? I'm asking because I need them to be able to back through a gate that is narrower than the 12' they call for on their website. Every sales person I speak to says that number is written in stone. I have had numerous 30 yard dumpsters dropped in the driveway behind the gate in the past, so I know large trucks fit easily, and my yard is very wide and clear behind the gate. I'd love to talk to the actual driver.

Thanks

How much do the bagsters cost?

Does Maplewood actually hand out tickets to those who have Bagsters on their property for, let's say, umm...months? cool cheese

The bag is about 30 bucks, pickup is about 180 or so. They are more expensive than dumpsters if you have a lot of stuff.

Filmcarp- our neighbor has used these often. The issue with the width is likely due to the truck having a full size dumper box on the back which are at least 8.5 ft width. The crane used to lift the bagster is actually mounted behind the cab and between it and the dump box. It rotates to the side, so another issue with tight space might be picking the load up from the rear of the truck is unlikely.

Depending on what you are placing in the bag, is there a possibility to drag it forward of the home for pickup? We have a very narrow driveway and when we have used regular dumpsters I had used my truck to drag them behind the home and then chained it up to drag back to the front to allow their truck to pick it up.

Just a thought on potential solution.

Thanks. I can't block my driveway in front for a 3 day window. The part that annoys me is that I have had at least three large dumpsters behind that gate, with no problem at all. I really don't want another can, but I may be forced to. I had a terrible runaround Monday dealing with transfer stations, and I need to empty my truck.
