And according to a suggestion above, I was able to vote once at my work computer, once on my phone and once on my home computer. Not that there's anything wrong with that I assume. <img src=">

Voted on my work PC and tablet. Next up: my home desktop and my mobile phone. cheese

VOTE for Maplewood Village as NJ Best Downtown.

If you already voted, ask friends, family members and co-workers to vote too.

Voting in the first round, in which we are up against Summit, ends Monday, September 7th at noon.

Second round voting starts next Tuesday.

btw I believe the PO is a Fallout Shelter, not a bomb shelter.

Round 2 is now underway. We are paired with Princeton. Hoboken vs Montclair, Morristown vs Red Bank, and Somerville vs Cape May also made the cut.

I think Maplewood will fare well against Princeton.

Next week the opponent will be either Hoboken or Montclair. I think Montclair will win because the folks in Hoboken all still think they live in NYC and don't ever look at NJ.COM.

Thanks all!

Nan, it's the same link.

The link worked fine for me. You have to scroll all the way to the bottom past the article to get to the voting part

Ok, I voted, but this is the dumbest contest yet. New Jersey magazine has hit a new low and the bar was already below street level.

Look on the bright side. It will now take 3 hours to get a table at Arturo's.

Love Maplewood - but against Princeton there's probably low chance. (As an Alum who lived there for another 15 years, it's awful hard for me to say MW is really better... But I did!)

of course its silly because it compares apples to oranges (to figs to kumquats and so on)...but at least its all high quality produce tossed into the same basket...so I still voted for us.

And not sure if its still the same but when I lived in Hoboken, "uptown" was higher up on Washington St. and "downtown" was closer to the PATH and train, close to where Carlo's Bakery (Cake Boss) is, and that's wildly overrated, so I like our chances! What is "downtown" Montclair...Bloomfield Ave?

Maplewood is great and can win the contest with all our support!
