I had the same thing. I finally got myself to a computer and voted there. You can only vote once anyway.

To vote from your mobile device it is a 2 step process. The link Vic posted above (http://njmonthly.com/articles/towns-schools/downtown-showdown/) takes you to the homepage first and it takes a while to load. Once it has loaded you have to scroll down to the image posted below and click it. It then takes you to the voting page. Don't give up!

I guess the best strategy would be to also vote against towns in other matchups that you think would do well against Maplewood. For instance, I voted against Montclair because I think they'll get a ton of votes and might "meet" Maplewood in the semi-final round. I'd rather see them get eliminated early.

Of interest to some, but it looks like you can vote more than once if, say, you vote from your phone, and your computer at work, and your iPad at home. Not that I would necessarily do something underhanded like that.

It's an elimination "tournament." Like that basketball thing some people get interested in in March.

By doing it this way they keep interest going for several weeks instead of blowing the whole thing in one big vote.

And according to a suggestion above, I was able to vote once at my work computer, once on my phone and once on my home computer. Not that there's anything wrong with that I assume.
