Tycoon Dog to play at the Love for Lucas Snowball Dance on Saturday, Jan. 9 at The Woodland

Hi all. 

My apologies in advance for the long post.

Lucas is a beautiful 3-year-old boy from Maplewood who has an aggressive form of cancer called Burkitt's Lymphoma. He's in the midst of a lengthy hospital stay in Philadelphia, and his pre-school is sponsoring a Snowball Dance to help raise support and money for him and his family.  

The Love for Lucas Snowball Dance will take place from noon - 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 9 at The Woodland in Maplewood. The event is for folks of all ages and will feature magic, food and drink, kid's activities like face-painting and balloon-animal making, and music, including a full-set performance by Tycoon Dog that will happen somewhere in the 1-3 pm time frame. 

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased at the door on January 9, or online anytime (there is a small service charge if you purchase online). We're very excited to play a rare "off-season" show, to join the community in celebrating and supporting Lucas and his family, and to honor the inspiration and memory of our recently-departed colleague Alisa B. Anderson, who showed us how important music, joy and positivity can be to those struggling with serious illness.
