Who knows what the Trumps are up to these days? Everything is a calculated stunt. For all we know it could be a tactic to delay Mueller until Trump finds a way to fire him and derail the whole proceedings.  I put nothing past them. 

how would this delay Mueller?

I just keep hoping that this is part of the lead up to that.

A super rich person who was really concerned about the possibility of being questioned by Mueller and/or charged with a federal or state crime wouldn't hire a lawyer from White Plains who doesn't appear to be a heavy hitter. Google David Feureisen, White Plains, NY, and see what you come-up with.

I saw a recent article with the unsurprising news that her family has a long standing relationship with the guy.  Also, at least one online professional profile has him doing all kinds of things, including matrimonial.  Even if you are concerned that aspects of your financial situation expose you to criminal law problems, you are still going to hire a competent matrimonial lawyer to handle a divorce case.  You might consult a criminal lawyer but you wouldn't hire one who doesn't have matrimonial competence to do the actual divorce.  She could have hired someone else from his firm to be the attorney of record  in the divorce case, with him consulting in the background.

Carried away with speculation? trump and his family have gone beyond speculations, so none are too far fetched.

When you put the lawyer's full name into the New York Courts' search engine ("ecourts") for civil cases, five cases come up with him as attorney of record for someone.  Four of them are matrimonial cases.   When you search by the firm name, many matrimonial cases come up.  He may or may not be lead counsel in all of them but I'm sure he is in some of them.
