Today's Google Doodle
The high point of my week used to be napping on the couch on Sunday afternoon with Bob Ross.
From Happy Surfer blog: Google is at it again with yet another of their fun Google doodles.
This year's Halloween doodle depicts the facade of a row of houses where each door opens (at the click of the mouse) to reveal a house-occupant. Click on the doors to find out who or what lurks behind each one of them.
Shucks, I've given it away, haven't I with the bottom image. Still, go see for yourself.

Musicmz, You appear to have forgotten the cat, who jumps out of the garbage can and runs across the screen when clicked on.

I just cut and pasted the info from a blog. This is one of their better interactive ones. You can click the skeleton and raven. Make sure your sound is up, too!

Visit Google.com and press the "play" button to enter Google's digital ice rink. Using the arrow keys, navigate the Zamboni around the rink, erasing scratch marks made by the skaters. Erasing all the marks will take you to higher levels, where you can also earn gas for your Zamboni. The game is complete with old-school video-game sounds, though they can be turned off. The more levels you complete, the more intricate the ice scrapings become.

wondered what that was, figured it was Valentine themed and went back to work...now we're back to plain old Google Australia branding. sigh.
It's pretty, but does it do anything? I liked the Valentines Day one better, it was interactive.

Nothing exciting that I can see. Just routes you to an informational screen about Copernicus.
I think that one of the coolest jobs anywhere would be to work on the team that does the Google Doodles. Does anyone know if that is a full-time gig or part of another set of responsibilities?

DNA is focussed on HHGTTG, and has sound...sound and animation somewhat basic (as mentioned). I wish people would recognise the other great stuff he wrote and did. Can't believe (although I knew at the time) how young he was.

Partly corrected in the comments; I'm sure the astute readers here on MOL will pick up the Mice (Benji and friend), Deep Thought; the Heart of Gold and the Improbability Drive; Vogons and their penchant for poetry (and its effect on greenery); Slartibartfast designing Earth; the necessary items for one to hitchhike on an interstellar spacecraft; the elevators frightened of heights (you don't need to click on the doors at all); anything with a Real People Personality; the theory of the Divine Sneeze - oh there's just so much if you're patient... I just think it could have been done better but then I wouldn't know the first thing about how to do it, so it's easy to critique.
