Yeah. I don't get it either.

I hope they play Dogs Part II. Or Rael.

Noooo! This is just wrong. And I *like* The Who.

well, you can't be too surprised. they had the stones and mccartney. did bruce play one? i predict next year they'll reunite zeppelin.

It would be ludicrous for them to play "My Generation."

Any wardrobe malfunction will be truly ugly.

I love The Who. But we saw them a few years back at PNC Bank, and they were truly awful. If they're still having fun, I say more power to them. But part of me thinks they should just retire.

I was at the same concert as my friend ml1 and as (and with) my friend Sbenois...all I can say is, I wont get fooled again.

How many years ago was it the Stones did the halftime show? My kids were young but very familiar with the Stones music although theyd never seen a picture of them. When they came onstage, my daughter said, who are the old guys playing the Rolling Stones music? I can imagine what they'll think with The Who.

the difference is that even though the Stones show every year of their ages, they can still play. arguably, Jagger's voice is *better* than it was in concert 30 years ago. But Daltrey's voice is so shot it's embarrassing for him.

so is Daltry's solo show in Montclair going to be rap or "spoken word"?

Very odd choice. I just don't see the Who having the same energy level as the other recent Super Bowl shows. The songs aren't exactly catchy tunes either. The are really reaching back to some old acts that appeal to an over 50 crowd.

I am a big Who fan, but in my opinion Roger can't sing anymore his voice is totally shot.

It will be painful to watch, except with the sound off.

There Once Was a Note, Pure and Easy.........

Dave Matthews , Bon Jovi , Chlli Peppers . How bout' what the guys really want Shkira . The Who ? Poor Choice.

I wouldn't be standing near him when he starts twirling that microphone any more.

Did Grand Funk have another gig that Sunday ?

That is just what frightens the NFL the most

I was trying to think of an appropriate washed up band to mention but you got a good one.

I hear it's going to be a 12-minute lecture from Pete detailing how the LifeHouse project went wrong.

That's what I'm trying to find out--Who will be playing at the Half-Time Show at the Super Bowl?

Every Minute of it.

Who?

Yes?

Wow--YES!? I love their old stuff.

Who's stuff?

YES.

Who is playing at the Half-Time Show?

That's what I heard.

Who?

Yes...

No, yes is not playing...who is playing.

And excuse me but women also watch the Super Bowl cod.

I'm a late-blooming Grand Funk Railroad fan. I just started to listen to their music over the past 2 years. I love those old songs, Some Kind of Wonderful, The Locomotion, Bad Time, and of course, I'm Your Captain/Closer to Home. Is it schlock? Perhaps, but you'll often hear me play GFR at Cent'Anni on Wednesday nights.

The problem is not Townshend. He will be able to play in a wheelchair. And Zak Starkey is a ferocious drummer.

The problem is Mr. Daltrey. He simply can't sing anymore. Sad but true. I've seen The Who probably 20 times. It's over.

Too bad it won't be this incarnation:

Or this one:

Are you people kidding? Listen to these pipes...

I am dreading the Super Bowl Half-time show.

it might not be that bad, s. i just ran across a channel called palladia (never heard of it before) showing a recent who performance. pete can still put on a helluva show, and the songs still sound great. daltry has no range whatsoever, but there's so much energy and power in the songs that you almost don't notice.

It's gonna suck and, worse than that, it's gonna be sad ...

Long live rock.
