Our Grifter-in-Chief, when running away before the inauguration expects Pomp and Circumstance:
Mr. Trump’s pre-inaugural takeoff from Joint Base Andrews represents a relatively low-key conclusion to one of the most tumultuous terms of any president in history — although it will not be entirely devoid of the pomp he demands.
While the plans remain in flux, Mr. Trump hopes to depart to the blare of a military band, with a red carpet and military honors, those briefed on the planning said.

The only military personnel at Trump's farewell should be those frisking him and going through his luggage to make sure he's not stealing anything from the White House.
Too late...the good stuff's already gone !
Three people, presumably White House staffers, were seen slipping out a side door Thursday with a bust of our 16th President. The odd sight definitely caught the attention of the U.S. Marine standing guard, as his eyes seemed to say what we're all thinking -- where the hell ya going with Lincoln???

Maybe it was a reverse 12 Grimmauld Place situation, where instead of a racist piece of art yelling at the anti-racists, it was the bust of Lincoln constantly yelling at Stephen Miller.
Meanwhile in a never-ending list of things I never dreamed I'd ever write: The My Pillow guy was at the White House today to convince the outgoing President to blame the insurrection on either China or Iran, invoke the Insurrection Act, trigger emergency powers and declare martial law, and install Kash Patel as head of CIA and possibly Ezra Cohen-Watnik - current acting under secretary for intelligence - for National Security Advisor.
The mob apparently came within minutes of Mike Pence and his family. That's pretty disturbing considering the "Hang Mike Pence" yelling. No wonder he is livid at Trump.

and yet an astounding 1/3 of Americans still think he's doing an awesome job.

do you have any sources besides Dershowitz? He went around the bend years ago.

Yes, the epoch times choosing to publish Alan Dershowitz is extremely worrisome.
Cartoonist using a reference to "1984" to argue that government should tell private companies what content they should present.

All of the garbage you post worries me. Are people really as stupid as you claim to be? Sometimes I think its all an act.
I am curious what is going to happen to the GOP. They have been using all this populism and propaganda to advance their political agenda, but now they don't control the mob anymore. Are they going to have a slow-motion intra-party civil war? Or are they going to continue to drift rightwards. It would not be bad for the country to have a third party, a conservative party without all the lunatics.

Be careful what you wish for. The far left could splinter off as well. The Bernie populists and the Trump populists could join together.

So far the Democrats have held together much better than the GOP. Also, while Bernie is a populist, he is much more responsible than Trump.
I don't see much common ground between Bernie and Trump supporters.

Don't you remember when we were all beat over the head with claims that Bernie was The One who would win back all those Trump supporters?

Thanks, hoops. That's what I thought, too. I have no doubt that mtierney will not even click on this, or at most get bored after 2 minutes. It would be a shame, because it's got substance, every word is true, and anyone who calls themselves a Republican, or a conservative, but voted for Trump twice, and who still believes somewhere that this election was stolen needs to see it.

What lie are we supposed to believe, for that cartoon to make any sense?
For the life of me I can't figure this one out.
I think the intended audience just sees "Big Tech" and "progressives" and gets angry, and that's it.

I'm kind of glad she deleted that paragraph because it doesn't make a lick of sense either in context with my post, or by itself.
