Springsteen to tour ... archived

Glad to see Brendan O'Brien is out of the mix (literally!) ... I thought that he did a nice job on The Rising, but the last three efforts were flat ... Cautiously optimistic.

I loathe Brendan O'Brien, but did you look at that new producer's resume? It's all terrible Christian rock and the Barenaked Ladies. What on earth is he thinking? A guy best known for producing Lifehouse and Days of the New is the best Bruce can come up with?

He looked in tour shape last night. It was 2 in the morning and he was still on stage. He was playing like a man possessed yesterday and looked like he was itching to hit the road and play.

Just what we need, a member of the .1% with a 400 acre "farm" in NJ singing about "economic justice"

Jealous that you never reached Springsteen's level of success,Zoinks?

No. His success if fine. It just makes it absurd for him to sing of "economic justice" Especially when he takes an agricultural property tax rate.

dude, take it to the Political Soapbox

Zoinks: "My thread" and, as ML said, this ain't politics, so why not just move along ... Thanks.

Since it is relevent to what was in the article linked in this thread it is relevent to this thread. Sorry.

Plus, like a child you can give birth to a thread but you can not really control it.

This is in Arts and Entertainment. If you take issue with Springsteen's politics, as written above, move it along to the Soapbox.

It is arts and entertainment. According to the article he is going to SING about "economic justice" so it is at least as relevent regarding the new album as who produced it.

Don't worry, nobody pays any mind to the guy. This, however -

- Can't sign on to that 100%. "Devils" was spare, but had some interesting thoughts, and I liked that tour. I thought "Seeger Sessions" was fun, and also liked the tour -especially when he re-worked some of his old material. I also enjoyed "Magic", but will concede "Dream".

Um.no. If he is going to sing about economic justice and you have an issue with the political content of his songs, take it to the soapbox section. This thread is about him touring.

Not a terribly hard concept to grasp.

All posts about the ALBUM before my post

Whatever you say sport. I'm really not going to try to understand this for you. You're going to have to struggle to figure it out all by yourself.

That's a capituation response by someone whose line of argument has reached a dead end if ever I have heard one.

I guess zoinks is right. like the annoying relative at family gatherings, anybody on MOL has the right to join a thread and spread bogus right-wing talking points.

Yeah, you're right. I concede. I think your contribution here speaks for itself.

'Tour shape'? Maybe he's still working out with the hot redhead at The Atlantic Club gym in Red Bank?

No, it's a walk-away because you're not getting the point, and it's pretty useless to try to get you to do so.

Or, if this helps, please consider that the following tactic is annoying -

(1) Inject useless point into a thread.

(2) Declare victory when people point out that it's a useless point.

I just listened to the new single (We Take Care of Our Own) ... Um, I ain't excited.

Get in bed and get some sleep.

Yes, dear.

Truthfully, I'm looking forward to the tour more than the album.

I read that Wrecking Ball and Land of Hopes & Dreams are on the album ... Studio versions I suspect ... Yeah, it's about the tour. He'll play a couple of these tunes at the start of the tour and then they'll fade ... Just like the stuff from Whatever The Last Album Was ...

Not exactly exciting but not as bad as I expected based upon your post. Would have benefited from a sax solo :-(
