@sac, the car is far enough away from the earth to be outside the earth's gravitational force.
I read that much of the car is going to be destroyed over time by solar and cosmic radiation. Turtle Wax ain't gonna stop that. Don't expect alien visitors to the solar system in the distant future to find a shiny red car cruising around the asteroid belt.
