Amazing output in her life, including well past an age when many would have happily retired then loudly proclaimed boredom. I hadn’t realised quite how young she’d been widowed, nor how many children she had. It must have been hard, raising 5 kids on her own.
Apparently early in her writing career she would get up at 4 in the morning while her kids were still asleep to work on her writing.
Mary Higgins Clark’s books were an easy fun read. She always said her Irish heritage helped her come up with all the story ideas. In recent years she had some help including a daughter who is also a mystery writer.

She passed away at age 92 on Friday. Over 100 million copies of her books in print in the United States.
She was a former NJ resident to boot.
