There will be a gathering at Holle's Funeral Home in Maplewood on Thursday December 31, 2015 between 3 pm and 6 pm.  I will be at home most of the time from Wednesday through Friday of this week, except for the period at the funeral home if anyone wants to stop by.  Please PM if you need address/directions.

joan, although I do not know you or Bernie in real life, I would like to express my deepest condolences. I am so sorry for your loss.

This news makes me so, so sad. Joan, you have been such a staunch advocate and support for Bernie these past few months. I hope you will be able to find some measure of comfort and peace in your memories of him and your family and friends. I know the community of MOL and SOMA will give you all the love and support they can, and I wish I was there to add my love to the great pile of warm wishes I know exist there for you and for Bernie.

Joan, I don't know you IRL nor did I know Bernie. From the expressions of condolence expressed by those who knew him, Bernie was a beloved and valued member of the community and individual. Anyone who knew Bernie must have felt lucky to know him. May his memory be for a blessing.

I gasped when I read your post earlier this morning.  I'd read about Bernie's events and what you had been going through.  Though I don't know you, I feel connected via MOL.  Know that I am wishing you and your family an easy time during your sadness.  You're a strong woman, Joan.

We don't know each other IRL but I have been following Bernie's health battle and know it was long and hard on you both. I can't imagine the pain you feel losing a life partner and wish you peace now that his difficult struggle has ended. Please take care of yourself. My deepest condolences.
