Interesting. Project fi has so many components of Google products it's hard to pinpoint what will benefit from it. Google wallet, Nexus 6, project loon and others
Since TMOB's unlimited data plan is cheaper than Fi, what is the market for Fi? Or is GOOG going to buy TMOB to eliminate the competition?
Its not just about the price, its about have the ability to access multiple systems at once, Sprint, T-Mo and WiFi. This project will definitely increase the viability of Project Loon. In addition to be required to pay with Google Wallet, it will increase usage of Wallet for Google.
Soon I will be able to share more benefits.
Sprint CDMA will never work with a TMOB GSM handset, however much GOOG pretends otherwise.
@conifers, you do understand that is the whole idea behind project fi. Google developed and built a new SIM card that is able to handle switching between the two different networks.
Yes, but it requires a special handset, of which there are only, what, 3.
Does Sprint have any plans to modernize its network? It is seriously lagging.
Just got my invite today. I know that Scott's not around these parts anymore - anyone else here get a chance to try out Project Fi?
