Like.

Why stop at bumper stickers? I think it would also be great on T shirts and hats. And even billboards, maybe.

Bumper sticker might invite vandalism...seriously.

I've always liked fun political stickers but am leery of Trump "enthusiasts."

I wanted to start a campaign with Unfit as the one word message and a cartoon picture of him.  Put it on tee shirts, coffee cups, hats, etc.  All proceeds to nonprofits that support causes he is harming.  But instead I bought a "It's Mueller Time" tee shirt.

Yep - that's a great strategy to get Democrats elected too

Wouldn't change one vote either way, imho.

But what do I know. I never thought calling a former Senator and Secretary of State "Crooked Hillary" would have any effect.

In Maplewood, you are just as, if not more, likely to be vandalized with a pro-Republican bumper sticker than with an anti-Trump one.    Shocking, I know, but progressives are capable of vandalism too.  I recall a few years ago when someone was plastering hard-to-remove "gashole" stickers on SUV's at the train station.  Back in the 2012 election, several local friends cautioned me against my choice of bumper sticker, warning that "people around here won't like that one", and "you might want to keep that in your driveway".   Unfortunately, idiotic behavior can come from any side.  Just ask the Lincoln statue in Chicago.

Ice, you may be right. I was harassed in a Pathmark parking lot on Valley for an innocuous "Question Authority" sticker during Bush43 admin. Vandalism has no party.

I understand bumper stickers as part of  apolitical campaign. But those should come off the day after Election Day. Otherwise why do people want to use their cars to proclaim their beliefs to the World? What's the point?

And if you make a statement to the World with your bumper sticker and a person comes along who profoundly disagrees should he write a polite note setting forth his disagreement and put it in your windshield?

I just growl obscenities at the back of the car and move on with my life.

During jury selection attorneys often ask prospective jurors about their bumper stickers.

Moving from the city, I was delighted to get a car that I could paper with bumper stickers. I'm also a huge fan of messages on t-shirts.

2 new t-shirt favorites are Civil Disobedience Necessary Trouble under a picture of John Lewis back says Speak Up Speak Out Get In The Way

The other is "When you see something that is not right, not fair, and not just, you have a moral obligation to do something." Congressman John Lewis.

You can go to Café Press and print anything you like. (I draw the line at baseball caps.)

I liked the "still she persisted" t shirts a few months ago. They managed to make me feel sad and yet hopeful at the same time.

I like a good old fashioned button.

I remember my first "Who Would Jesus Bomb?" sticker during Bush43. Also a "conversation" starter.

Bought my wife and daughter "Nevertheless, She Persisted" necklaces on Etsy. Available in silver and gold.

ITMFA!!!  YES!

Not a bumper sticker, but a great line about Trump's "handling" of the disaster. A Houston student:

“He handled it the way he handles everything: By telling other people to handle it."

Are you suggesting that person intentionally damage someone's property for peacefully, and passively,  expressing a viewpoint?  That is surprisingly antifa for you.

(And I wholeheartedly agree - take the stickers off after the election.)

I think you misunderstand me. I am not suggesting anything like that. I'm just asking why someone has to announce his views to the world on a bumper sticker and how that is supposed to begin a discussion. As I said "What's the point"?

I saw a confederate flag sticker next to a Trump bumper sticker on an electricians van on the garden state parkway during election season. Somehow this individual was oblivious to how this was offensive to many people. I was taken aback because this is Essex County and the van was from nearby Belleville. I kinda realized that day that Trumps way of thinking can pop up anywhere.Even in liberal land. I'm not so shocked anymore.

Got it.  Apologies.

I use my bumper stickers mainly to tick off the locals.  smile

Do you change them when you drive to a far away location?

Like this?

A man in southern Missouri pointed a gun at another driver after the pair got into a verbal squabble over her liberal and anti-President Trump bumper stickers, according to local reports.

Yup. There are Trump-rage incidents all over the country - mostly because people dare to be brown or black.  So why invite it with a nose-tweaking sticker? Maybe I'm just timid.
