Doesn't matter what thread, just wants you off this one because you won't agree that signing the petition is a wonderful thing. By the way I agree with you. And to touch base on Lost I don't think these refugees are doctors etc. that are fleeing. Keep footing the bill to support all the immigrants ( housing and medical) & we'll be broke as a nation pretty soon.

Who said they were doctors? They are human beings in serious trouble. We can offer relief without bankrupting ourselves.

Listen either you believe in helping people in trouble or you don't. If the latter then what is your purpose on earth?

mbaldwin's point is that this is not in the Politics category.

Thank you.

Done !! Thanks mbaldwin for posting this smile

Sadly it is so, but I'm sure there are families in SOMA that would be willing to take in some of the refugees. ETA - I was responding to Particleman, but the new quote function does not work on my iPad.

I believe you said you were in the hospital recently and no two doctors seemed to be from the same country. My point is these people are supporting themselves the refugees will for now need to be supported and most likely always need a crutch to lean on. Oh and my purpose on earth is to get up every day go to work so I can pay my taxes to support those less fortunate that either can't or mostly choose not to support themselves. I would like to see how everyone would feel if Maplewood would build a huge apartment building on the former P.S.E.&G. site, maybe the size of Ivy Hill and as a federal tax credit towards the town fill it with refugees. But we couldn't do that because it would ruin our quaint little town and make it feel like a bigger town like Irvington or a city like Camden, just think then we could run and move to a different state like a lot of former mwol did.

You're right, I should focus more on the debate in the political section threads, my apologies for intruding.
