U2 - Can't Help Falling in Love

You did say post "YOUR" best cover. That's me on the left playing lead guitar. It's not often you get to "one-up" Chrissy Hynde (see above post).

And another just for kicks.

I love me some Rod Stewart. oh oh

Maroon5 version of Alicia Keys "If I Ain't Got You"

Some guys that made a living covering Slade.

30 Seconds To Mars Covers Bad Romace Lady Gaga

Taking a page out of Boss's book I'll offer one of my own as well (just an audio clip). That's me on guitar covering K.D. Lang's Pulling Back the Reins. It's live so forgive the hiccup midway through:

Like Boss and Cue, I took the thread title to mean "my best" cover song, not "my favorite" cover song. I think this is probably my best cover:

RobB--thanks for posting that. B&S is one of my all-time favorite bands and that struck me as somewhat out of character for them. Granted, I haven't seem them live since the late '90s/early 2000s.

I think this thread came around once before, but I'll post this again anyways:

The audio on that is crap, but in my opinion, it's a cover of a great song that exceeds the original.

If you ever got to see this one done live, you're probably still buzzing from it:

I'm not sure if this is a cover or an interpretation, but I love it. This guy is so talented, he did every part of this himself, no sampling, and did all the harmonies himself, he didn't record one and just replay it, he actually recorded every voice and every musical part separately.

ETA: fixed oh oh

This is really incredible.

Thanks for posting that cover of "Ceremony"- that's always been one of my favorite songs. Speaking of Galaxie 500, I always loved the Luna cover of "Sweet Child O' Mine."

Superchunk - Say My Name (Destiny's Child)

Dunno why the video doesn't show up.

So here's the link.

Michael Hedges (RIP) cover of All Along the Watchtower:

I take it back... I think this is the one of the most amazing covers - a student covers Hedges "Ragamuffin". Amazing stuff:

Ah, so many but here's a favorite of mine with "my girl" Vanessa Williams and Bobby Caldwell with their smooth version of the classic, "Baby it's cold outside". Many have sang it but I'm not sure who originally recorded it.

Have to add this one as well

MGMT(before they got famous) covered this must be the place by the talking heads

What's really cool about this is that she did the cover while the original single was still getting a lot of airplay.

I always liked Bim Skala Bim's cover of The BEATLES - Rain

(the old embed code doesn't seem to work anymore)

and I know I shouldn't admit it it, but one of my guilty pleasures is the Soup Dragons cover of The Rolling Stones' I'M FREE

and this cover of WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS isn't bad either...
