Parking Restrictions on Oakview

Does anyone know why and/or for how long parking is going to be blocked off on Oakview near the train station? There is no readily apparent work being done in the park that would require that access, and it's a significant share of the station parking that's been blocked off since last week. I know it's petty, but I'm sick of trudging up the hill☺️There is also a history of the signs just never being taken down until people decide to get civilly disobedient.
