New Site Questions, not to WebMaster
I can't post photos. And I have no idea why. Used to be if I tried to post a photo and it was too big or something, the system would let you know. Now, it just loads your post but leaves the photo out.
What am I doing wrong?
Bummer, I wanted to ask a question but could not find the Add Comment box.

Where is the personal settings feature, where you can set up your personal options for PMS, emails,etc.?
Liking the new system, once I get used to it. I see some kinks have already been worked out, Ross brothers you rock!

Have to say that having gone through a couple of earlier changes with MOL this one is closer to the one it replaces in function and seems to be working pretty well.
Using Opera. No issues. Can't stay sign in with Tor.

Don't think there is one.
I know its going to be a while until the bugs are worked out but this thing with the sign in and keep me signed in is a major annoyance.. If I sign it it may or may not allow me to post, then if I hit my user in the top right it takes me to my page but wont let me into the general area anymore.
Its a loop into oblivion. I have to log out and x out of chrome and then come back in. Add in the log in time outs and the frustrations level is high.
Yes, getting back in from My Account is definitely frustrating.
I've bookmarked the site so can find a thread I want, then log in and go directly to the New Comments box.
If you've bookmarked https://maplewood.worldwebs.com/forums, then you can click that to get back to the forum from teh accounts page. it's not ideal, but it should work for now. For some reason, using the secure link seems to work better at keeping you logged in.
If you're not using software that means your internet work can't be tracked, can you still bookmark?
Nope, I take it back. I still can't find a way to get back to the home page with all the threads on it from the bookmarked threads page. Very puzzling. But the trick of bookmarking the home page on Firefox works to get me where I want to be.

Do you mean if you're using something like Tor or some type of anonymizer? Or do you mean something that keeps web site from tracking you?
Actually, in either case you should be able to bookmark. What software are you using?
Just a question re Tor. I'm on an iPad 2 here, with nothing fancy. The desktop PC is a Windows machine as described elsewhere.

Tor is a two part package - one part is a router (software) and one is a browser. The router connects to proxy servers across the globe. The browser is just a modified version of Firefox that is designed to only connect through the tor router. In earlier versions I had difficulty maintaining my bookmarks across upgrades, but they seem to have corrected that (or maybe I stopped messing it up).
I used it on my phone (android) and my desktop. But the new software doesn't seem to play well with it so I'm off it for now. I don't think there's a version for iOS.

I just discovered all the old threads - that had previously been closed in the old MOL because they were over a year old - are open again.

I get the same thing when I cut/paste a link. No need to go to edit.
Thanks Joan. That doesn't work for me for some reason. I use Chrome. I'm not sure if this is a browser dependent thing.
I'm also using chrome and it works for me. Perhaps it is PC thing?
