Looks like ml1 wins his boxes of Krispy Kremes (courtesy from our absent Governor).
I wish he would hurry up and decide on the inevitable. Come on Chris, make me proud!

if he drops out today, yahooyahoo gets it with a guess of Feb 10
Man, I missed this one! Yahoo, apologies! The race is on between you and ml1!

Unless he runs out of money, I think he's in until New Hampshire. Feb 10th.
this is sort of a trick question since candidates don't always "end" their campaigns, they sometimes just "suspend" them (probably because there is still some sort of bank account/campaign fund/PAC). Does suspension count as ending the campaign? And I suppose whatever words he chooses, does that also signal when he will start blaming someone else for his failure?
Anyone here think Christie will try to hang on through South Carolina just because?
I don't think he has enough money left. Yesterday's results certainly scared away the remaining Christie donors.
technically Christie has not yet announced that he's suspending his campaign. if he hangs in until tomorrow afternoon before making it official, I win.
I think he has. I got a NYT news flash on my phone.

Right now NYT just says "Allies Say Christie to Suspend Campaign."

I give both yahooyahoo and ml1 a lot of credit on this one!
I didn't need a crystal ball to know the big guy was going to get trounced in Iowa and NH. The only question was how long afterwards he'd hang around.

My father-in-law, who is conservative but not uber-crazy, actually referenced Christie pandering to Obama - aka "the hug." I forgot how he put it, but it's amazing how that image stuck with people. He was unelectable from that point on... which, ironically, was one of the few times I actually appreciated him as Governor.
