got no clue, though the synth sort of sounds like ELP.

I can sing the next dozen notes but can't place it--good one!

here's a few more notes - the song is somewhat extinct. 

Was in a Howard Jones bucket trying to figure this one out, then Yes, then I heard this song last night on Pandora and don't think I would have landed on Genesis.  Extinct is right!  "Dodo/Lurker" by Genesis
