Missing Car Key

Hyundai car key fob lost somewhere on Valley Street between Park Road and West Parker Avenue, on West Parker Avenue between Valley Street and the CHS Parking Lots or along the parade route by one of the Post 10120 members who was in the parade. DPW has been notified and MPD is being notified as well. Please let me know if anyone has seen the keys or has picked them up and is holding them and I will pass the information along. TIA. Post here or send a message and I will keep checking.

Any ideas, other than dealership for replacing the key if not found soon? If we do go to the dealership, how long should it take to get a replacement?

I think that if you do you can have another one made at Home Depot

Recently had to get whole set of keys replaced (and the car's computer had to be removed, reprogrammed and re-installed). AAA sent me to Advanced County Lock on Chestnut St. in Union for a dummy key, but couldn't do the reprogramming due to the age of the car and their newer software. Reliable Lock and Safe in East Orange did everything necessary (and were cheaper on the individual keys, as well!).

Dealership wanted about twice as much.

Yes, i have been told that a family member has the second key, which is how the post member was able to remove the car from the Town Hall Parking Lot, which is where it was when the post member discovered that the key was missing. Still, I would feel uncomfortable recommending Home Depot for a job like this. Reliable Lock and Safe in East Orange seems like a much better bet and I will pass that information along. Post member tells me that he was able to order a replacement key fob from Reliable Lock and Safe. He should have the new key early next week. Cost was $195. plus tax, a lot less than it would have cost if purchased from the dealer.

Car key fob has been found and returned to owner. Thanks to all who helped locate it.
