Why are people carrying car registration? Can't you just leave it in the car? Am I doing something wrong
What if: Your car is stolen but not yet reported, and the thief is pulled over for a broken tail-light. The officer asks for their license & (your) registration, which they happily present, telling the cop they're driving their cousin's car, with permission. Cop shrugs, warns about the broken light, & the thief drives your car away with a warning.
I keep my registrations with ME, just in case...
-s.

I used to worry about trivial stuff like that. Not any more.

What really are the chances you car gets stolen, its not reported and its saved by a cop who just happened to stop it with no registration in the car?

But it does enrich the State of NJ. I have two cars shared by three. That means if we carried our registrations we would have to buy four additional copies.

ps - Even car rental companies don't worry about that. Every car I rented has its registration in the vehicle.

I switched from back to front about a year ago. I did it for my back's health mostly. It wasn't uncomfortable, but I knew I was harming myself. One clue was that I couldn't stand it on the right; it had to be on the left. My spine is still not straight. I need to see a chiropractor, and I'll probably never cure it completely.

It was hard to adjust to. My front pocket is now so bulgy and tight. But it's probably not harmful.

I use my back pocket when I ride a bike most of the time, and I doubt there's anything wrong with that, since I'm not leaning on it there.

I keep my tail-lights in good working order, so I don't carry my registration either. Plus with multiple cars, and multiple drivers it doesn't make sense.
