I know that you can reserve them for birthday parties (at a cost). Not sure about a family party.
Here's the info from the pool website for this year --- every year the party costs and details seem to change.

Pool parties!
If you are a member of the Maplewood Pool, you are welcome to host a pool party!
Parties are held Monday - Friday 12:00 - 2:00pm or weekends 10:00am - 12:00pm or 12:15 - 2:15pm. For $300, parties include 15 children and their parents (more can be added for additional cost). Guests need not be pool members.
If you are interested in hosting a pool party call the Recreation Department in advance to make sure that the date you are requesting is available.
The Birthday Party Package includes:2 hour reservation of the picnic table area on the lower grass area
1 slice of pizza per child, soda, water or juice for 15 children
2 lifeguards will help organize games of: limbo, water balloon toss, musical chairs, splash contest in Diving Tank, and relay races
Games are customized based on the age/swimming level of children
We did a DIY party two years ago at the tables at a time that was NOT listed for official bday parties. But there was a limit to the number of non-pool-member guests I was allowed to bring in. I got there very early, and found another group there also wanting to do a DIY party. It was a bit stressful, but we ended up sharing the table area. (I used the long tables and the other party used the hexagonal ones).
Hey friends,
Does anyone know if it's possible to reserve a picnic table for a small family party at the Maplewood Community Pool? Or is it a first-come, first-served sitch?
TIA!
