Lily's Limos....DON'T USE!!!!

I have had very good experiences with Uber. I go the airport at least twice a month and always use Uber. The earliest has been 4:30am. I also, always use them to get home from the airport - once even at 2am. For those very early morning pickups I do make a reservation at The Parking Spot in case I have to drive. Then I cancel it once I have the Uber in my sights.

Never have taken an Uber to the airport. We usually park in long term parking and the hell with it. We like coming home, getting into our own car and not having to wait for anyone.
How much does that cost? I'm not usually for spending money unnecessarily, but between needing two car seats, one booster, and having two adults in the car it might be worth the money to just take our own car and park there.

It depends on your stay. Look at Newark Long Term parking and Short Term parking rates online http://www.panynj.gov/airports/airport-parking-ewr-rates-info.html.

We started doing this years ago because when you do the math, what you pay for a car service (which may not come on time!), you can drive and park your own car for almost the same amount of money.

When we exit, we always pay via EZ Pass. No money is exchanged.

Wally Park, The Parking Spot, and others are also very convenient and often considerably less expensive than the official long-term airport parking.

As long as the time isn't super early, we use Uber almost always to the airport. The total usually comes to about 1/2 of what we would have paid for car service. From the airport has been fine for us too. For airports like JFK or LGA, I don't see any cost savings ( usually Uber a little more) so I don't bother. We generally have used Union Taxi locally for years and have never had a problem. I have a different guy I use for LGA or JFK whose prices are better than Union

Yes, Uber > Lilly's.

I have now used Uber a bunch to get to the airport. Yes, you are rolling the dice a bit because you can't book an advanced reservation, but has been great.

Knowing that my fallback backup plan would be to just drive and leave my car at the airport (hasn't happened yet)... I start looking at Uber early to see if there are cars around and how long they would take to get to me. There have always been available cars within 10 minutes.

Then about 15 minutes before i want to leave, I request a pickup and can actually see on the map where the driver is and watch as he or she drives to my house. There is no wondering what time it will get to you.

Lilly's- never again. Going with Uber or Maplewood Taxi from now on.

These unreliable car services in NJ are going to drop like flies. Can't beat on demand rides at half their inflated rate.
