You seem to be implying that Trump studied the electorate and is feeding them what they want. I see a lot of statements like this and believe them to be completely wrong. Trump doesn't study anything. He doesn't know anything. He doesn't Shape his message to his audience. It doesn't matter if we're talking about new legislation, foreign policy, or the intent of Charlottesville marchers. He is always himself which is simultaneously self serving, braggart, and victim. He takes joy in sticking it to those who oppose him, and he has been successful only because the ignorant voters want the same more than they want to take a minute to learn who is actually working in their own best interest. They are permitting him to be himself and vice versa.

He can sign an executive order to have all people of color, Jews and gays out of the country by end of year but if he doesn't get coal back and running, he's done. And that's the type of minds we're dealing with and the type of voters that respond to him.
