Then I guess the only liberal who hasn't actually posted anything on topic in this thread is you.
this is like that silly debate question -- can you say something nice about your opponent?
If I was being snarky I would say that the Right-leaning politician whom I can say something nice about is Hillary Clinton.
To respond seriously to the question at hand I have admired the courage and independence of John McCain.
I have been watching Presidential Candidate Lindsey Graham, certainly a dyed in the wool Conservative with whom I disagree on just about everything. I believe he is sincere in his beliefs, serious, personally honest and full of integrity.

we'll have to agree to disagree on this. I believe a great deal of what Lindsey Graham says is calculated and politically motivated, and not sincere in the least. Regardless, sincerity is not in and of itself a virtue. One could write a thousand books on disastrous actions taken by well-meaning, sincere people.
Agreed. This is a ridiculous and patronizing thread.

I want some of whatever Ben Carson is on.
Ben Carson is not a Jehovah's Witness. He's a Seventh Day Adventist. I can't say anything nice about that, unfortunately.
Something nice... I think Governor Kasich has his heart in the right place. Not sure how well that translates to a political win in a GOP primary.

A joke explained...
I have occasionally enjoyed Celebrity Apprentice and look forward to having Dennis Rodman and Gene Simmons play significant roles in Trump's White House staff.

Perhaps if you read more carefully instead of trying to be 'clever' you would have noticed this:
'2. How long can this thread go without descending into bashing of conservative politicians? '
Everything I wrote was on topic and it only took fourteen posts for you to prove it ( and you couldn't even get that right).
Besides, how many times do I have to praise John Kaisich when I'm not voting for him?
Dave23
So now you are trying to walk it back , claiming an intended insult was a joke.
I won't bother to continue this conversation. It's obviously a waste of time. You may now try some lame attempt at ridicule – I realize old habits are hard to break.

Good grief, no matter how many times I throw you back, you are the easiest fish in the lake.

Sorry, I didn't know I was not allowed to comment on what was going on and pointing out how quickly the question 'How long can this thread go without descending into bashing of conservative politicians? ' was answered.

Double challenge in this thread:
1. Can you actually do as the subject line suggests
2. How long can this thread go without descending into bashing of conservative politicians?
Care to explain how I was off topic by answering 2?
Care to explain how wedjet's comment nailed anything?

You mean you honestly don't know?
"Double challenge in this thread".
I think several of the usual suspects (including me) have given the OP a shot. I really had to reach back to yesteryear (Poppy) to find a candidate.
Problem (IMO) is that these days there is no national con figure who isn't either completely wrong about everything or faking being completely wrong about everything.
And I don't say this lightly or in jest.
And MOL cons are probably weary of the persistent drumbeat of humor, sarcasm, and outright disgust exhibited by MOL libs. As cons, most MOL cons would never pass the test of con-dom (heh heh) in today's national scene. MOL cons are too sane. Their issue should not be with MOL libs. It should be with what leadership has done to the national GOP.
I'd rather have had the OP list a bunch of specific positions taken by current GOP politicians that he/she thinks should appeal to liberals and then ask if we could give credit to those politicians. Instead the question as posed essentially ends up prompting people to come up with trivial stuff like "so-and-so's heart is in the right place." or "he seems to love his wife."
If there were substantive conservative positions we agreed with, we'd actually be conservatives.

Your response is meaningless. The OP listed two questions to be answered. Everything I wrote was an answer to one.
You still haven't answered my two questions.

And to answer your question, Ridski and I have a fairly long history of arguing over any number of things. So what.

You're the one who brought it up and it was meant to trash conservatives - in the 3rd post after pvw wondered how long that would take.
