Jury duty twice a year

Has anyone been called to serve as a petit juror twice in one year? I went in May, didn't get on a case and I just got another notice for October. Thank you 

You can only be called once every 3 years, even if you don't get on a jury. They probably have your name in the system twice. Call the number on the form and let them know you were just there in May. I think this happened to me many years ago and they removed the duplicate from the system.

You CAN be called twice if one was state court and one was federal.

Thank you Ska, they were both for petit, they tried to get me for grand jury last year, but I couldn't do it and in 2015 they called me for petit but they canceled it. I was talking to a woman in May and she said she gets called for State and Federal every year.

I got called twice in one year for petit jury duty because they had my address in two extremely similar, but not the same, ways.  They had me living at "ABC Lane" in one place and "ABC Ln" in another place and didn't realize that "Ln" was an abbreviation for "Lane."

A phone call took care of the second request and it was rescinded.  

you would think they would know that Ln/Lane are one and the same runnerguy, unreal. I just got off the phone with them, they did say it was a duplicate and that they would send me a postcard stating I didn't have to attend.
