I agree except I do not find Jeb Bush or John Kasich acceptable either.
JEB! may have been the only sane one. Doesn't mean I would want him to be POTUS but hey, he wasn't crazy.

There's the irony of '16 - Jeb! was the safest bet.

If you want a Republican Kaisich has the best resume of anyone running, possibly including both Democrats.

That's a big "If". I would like to see Kasich as the Republican candidate because it would be far healthier for the country than either Trump or Cruz. I would still want the Democrat to defeat him in the General Election.
Kasich said over and over he wants to "Uberize" the Fed government. I guess "Uberize" sounds better than privatize.
How does that sound, the privatization of Social Security, Medicare, etc. Maybe he can contract out our national parks.

sadly that's already been done. After Vietnam the Abrams doctrine tried to ensure that the military could not be committed without calling up guardsman to fill critical roles. This meant that there would have to be strong public support for military action. Unfortunately every President since Bush Sr has ducked the issue by subbing out much of the role played by the Guard, from maintenance to cooking.

In fact Kaisich never said 'privatize', that's Krugman's interpretation.
Now compare his actual record to any one else running.

We are in agreement if you mean Bernie. In any event I will not vote Republican, as usual.
Rubio is telling people in Ohio to vote for Kasich.
