favorite red wine glasses?

Perhaps a nice decanter, instead? Riedel again for pricey ones, but there are numerous alternatives.

great idea...and maybe easier than picking out glasses and a lot of options to stay within the price point.

Hank sees everything through Rosé colored glasses.

not these, ToT? oh oh

I've used these at Charlie Bird in the city (restaurant owned by a sommelier, and they're the nicest wine glasses that I've held. At $65 each, they're either an amazing gift, or absurd. But I can vouch for their form and function, if not practicality.

The winemonger link I posted before was for Zalto's universal (white) glass. I think the sommelier for le Bernadin is/was behind their U.S. distribution.

I know nothing of wine glasses, but somebody donated these four Waterford Robert Mondavi glasses to the Prospect Rummage sale - new and with paperwork (although I'm not sure if the box is there or not ... I would have to check.)

PM me if you are unable to access or have questions. Price (half of retail) is firm for now but may be reduced if not sold by the end of the first sale date. (I'm not the person responsible for the prices.)

ETA - First sale date is this Sunday afternoon, 1:00-4:00pm. But these items are in our online sale and can be purchased in advance. I am the contact for that (via Facebook or MOL PM.)

A decanter is a nice idea. Or what about a wine of the month club from a nice vineyard or region?

It depends on how many glasses you're planning to buy, I guess, but it's kind of tricky. What if they entertain? They may want matching glasses. But then do you buy 4? 8? 12? (Probably not 12. We have 12 and have never used them all at once

My favorite vendor is Goodwill. They always have a good selection, and I don't mind when the guests break them.

WOW - these are all great ideas!

I am going to have some fun shopping.

Thanks so much!
