Cruise advice for a noob

I dropped my parents off in Bayonne yesterday for a Royal Carribean cruise.  There was construction on the 78 east bound bridge to Bayonne.  Allow an extra 20 minutes for all of the lanes to merge into one.

We took a cruise to Bermuda on NCL. One of my friends was getting married, we had a blast. Definitely get a balcony and also try to get a room in the center of the ship! Much less roll than the front or back of the ship! That was the best advice we were given and I'm glad we listened because we had some huge waves on our trip. 

Do the excursions if you can. Kayaking into the Bermuda Triangle was cool. We didn't do any of the beach trips because we had the wedding but I would have loved to check them out.
