Butterfly bush leaves curling archived

My butterfly bush leaves have begun to curl and look stunted (some look a bit chewed but maybe that's my imagination). I have given them a bit of water, not much, thinking that was the problem but still the same. I shook the leaves over a piece of white paper and saw no spider mites. Anyone have ideas?

The same is true for my butterfly bush. I was thinking that it was the result of a few cold nights a week or so ago.

Folks, remember that things are super dry...a good soaking could be in order.

Since we might get a first soaker rain this weekend in at least 3 months, I would wait to see what happens to them after that.

Mine too, so I think mbaldwin and wedjet may be right. From my home page: the NWS: The first significant hydro event in more than 3 months is possible Sunday through Monday with anywhere from 1 to 4 inches possible. Narrow bands of rain could develop and rotate around a cutoff low... . A direct quote. I'm hoping for a cutoff low.

I'm seeing the edges of my hydrangea leaves looking brown. I've been trying to keep it moist. Hopefully this rain will help things.
