Family in Maplewood, NJ is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their two children. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm.

Duties include:
Duties include preparing food and bottles for the children, assisting with the children’s laundry, washing bottles and pump parts, and general tidying up after the children. Emptying the dishwasher, light cleaning of the house, and assisting with the family’s laundry if time allows. Remaining very careful and vigilant about the child’s wheat and peanut allergies (neither allowed in home). The Nanny will most often be responsible for the infant in the morning, until the 2-year-old is out of preschool, typically around 12:45 pm each day. In the event the preschool is not running, the nanny will be responsible for both children for the full hours listed. Occasionally transporting the children to activities such as the library or park.

The ideal nanny for this family is responsible, reliable, and energetic. They have strong communication skills and will be respectful of parents’ requests regarding their home and their child’s care. Looking for someone with knowledge of developmental stages who will work with the children to strengthen their skills. Since Nanny will be one of the most important adults in the child’s life, looking for someone who will feel like part of the family! Both parents will be working from home, so a nanny who is comfortable with parents in the home is a must. They should be quick on their feet, process information easily, and a native English speaker. This family is looking for a high-caliber nanny who is active and engaging.

They give their children the “benefit of the doubt” and are respectful when it comes to discipline.
