ctrzaska, for all the times we've gone, we've missed any nights that New York City Serenade was played. So, I would guess that your best bet would be Thursday.
By the way, parking is still a nightmare over at the Stadium.
I recall him opening a Philly show with it back on the Reunion tour. I don't think he's played it more than once or twice since.
For some reason, I think because Philly was his first big market success, the shows there are always amazing, full of rarities. I had hoped for some shows at the Linc but I'm not one to complain any time (or any place) I see him perform.
I don't know if there's a different policy for lightning, but I went to a Rolling Stones show there many years ago, and it poured rain throughout, with no cancellation. We're going, and assuming nothing's going to stop the show.
This is TOMCAT (Tabby's better half). I went in 1985, and the concert was cancelled due to thunderstorms. However, if the forecast is right, then we are hopefully OK. Written on the way out the door
Got back home about a half hour ago. The concert went until about a quarter to 12, I think. The first song was a perfect choice - 10th Avenue Freezeout, so that the first singing in the show came from the 50,000 in the audience, singing the introductory instrumental part.
Bruce Springsteen takes the stage at Giants Stadium
Now if I could just get this ringing out of my ears, I can go to sleep.
I'm exhausted, so I don't know how nohero can go out there again tonight, unless he took the day off from work.
it was a great show, with a good assortment of old stuff, newer stuff. not anything I'd consider a rarity, but a really good greatest hits type show. Lots of energy, and the band seemed to be having a great time. the guitar solos in Youngstown (Nils), and Murder Incorporated (Bruce and Steve) were smokin'.
the only thing that marred the night for me was having to miss about a half hour of the show trying to get a disorderly person removed from our section.
Sorry about the idiot in your section. There were a number of them out last night, and event staff came through once towards the end looking to settle someone down.
As for timing and getting in - the show started about a quarter past 8 - I think they were waiting for sundown, so that the stadium would be dark with the lights out. We parked on the north side of the complex, over by the racetrack. I was a little longer walk back and forth, but very little time in traffic coming in and out. We started over to the stadium about 7:00, and were in our seats with our over-priced beverages by 7:40.
I had to read through the setlist this morning, to realize how much was packed into the show. Have to see if they can top themselves tonight.

Question for those who went to show last night: What time do you need to get there to tailgate at stadium parking? I heard they close parking lot and use shuttle bus once lot is full.
parking was beyond crazy. saw lots of people parking on median to save time & $20. no clue if they got ticketed, but I bet they got $crewed getting out, as traffic control probably shut down those roads or had traffic turned opposite way of how they were parked. we were sent up by Xanadu, which seemed horrible at the time, however we got right out and home in 25 minutes, as there is a direct entrance to turnpike on the other side of the parking garage and izod center.
don't take Turnpike western spur - took us nearly an hour to park once we got on turnpike. I would suggest either taking eastern spur, then rt 3 west or go up Parkway and 3 east and park by racetrack. Also saw people parking at Sheraton and walking over (used overpass).
it was worth it...best Bruce concert of the five I have attended...i hope i have that much energy when i'm 58
we've got a group of 8 heading out on Sunday.
