Best Route to North of Boston (Beverly-Salem)

Hey fed123! I just saw your post. I was in Rockport yesterday. Perhaps we passed each other! I am having a great time. The gin and tonics here are gallon size. Nick's Roast Beef is still wicked good. Hope to get to Bill & Bob's before I leave. I even ate oysters and I don't like any kind of seafood. Today visits to previous homes, candlepin bowling and some museum(s) and maybe the beach. But have not even had breakfast yet so probably not so much.

Thanks to all who gave me directions. I tried to follow the ones going over the Tappen Zee and I made it that far but I was tired and it was too dark to read directions so I just let the GPS take me after that and it took longer but hardly any traffic. I actually went over 20 MPH in Connecticut. There was a small delay on Route 128, but it cleared right up. Not sure about time or route home yet.
