Still not too late.
This was prompted by my experience mailing in my application for an absentee ballot several weeks ago. And never received it, and therefore had to go to the county clerk's office to get a copy to submit. I even called the office and was informed that the ballot had been mailed.
The ballot application gives the option to request that you always get a mail-in ballot for every election. I have to say I am considering it, because I have had election days when getting to the polls has ended up being more of a struggle than usual. For instance in the 2008 primary election, I ended up being stuck at work very late. I actually negotiated driving home an hour, voting, and then driving back to finish things out at work.
I do like the participatory feeling of actually going to my polling place and casting my vote. It's cool to see all the other people there and really feel like I'm part of something bigger than my own little world.
Monday, Nov 5 from 9-3, just go to South Mountain Arena Ed Center... Easy as can be!
Bump. Tomorrow is the last day you can get a ballot to vote by mail.

So it is not too late to get an absentee ballot for Tuesday's election. If you are registered you can go the the County Clerk's office, fill out an application and get an absentee ballot. It can be turned in two floors up. Or it has to be postmarked on Monday at the latest.
The deadline for this process is 3 pm Monday. The office is open today until 4, and tomorrow from 9-1.
The office is at 465 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in Newark. Park in the same lot as juror parking.
Happy voting!
