2 Upcoming community events / fundraisers for the South Orange Rescue Squad

The South Orange Rescue Squad is hosting two upcoming community events that we would like to let you know about:

Tuesday January 26th -  South Orange Rescue Night at Arturo's - 

Arturo's Osteria & Pizzeria in Maplewood village will be hosting a fundraiser on 1/26/16 from 5pm-9pm. 

Here's how it works: For anyone who dines in or orders take-out from 5-9pm and mentions that they're supporting the South Orange Rescue Squad, Arturo's will donate a portion of the bill directly to the squad AND will match it with a private donation of their own. Yep. It's that easy. 

And, even easier, you can call throughout the daytime (starting at 11am) to request a specific pick up time for take-out (sorry! no delivery or reservations for dine in). You MUST mention that you are supporting SORS for the donation to be made.

If you intend on participating in the fundraiser, please shoot an email to megan@arturosnj.com to keep the Arturo's team updated in terms of numbers for staffing/preparation purposes.

Saturday February 6, 2016 - 1:00 pm - NJ DEVILS GAME / South Orange Rescue Day at The Prudential Center

The South Orange Rescue Squad and the NJ Devils are teaming up for "South Orange Rescue Squad day" at the Prudential Center as the NJ Devils take on the Washington Capitals - Saturday February 6th 2016 at 1pm.

We are trying to make this a community event and fill an entire section with South Orange and Maplewood residents, friends and family as we all watch the game together and then head down to center-ice for a group photo after the game. 

A portion of each ticket price will go to the Rescue Squad as a donation. The South Orange Parking authority has agreed to provide a Jitney to transport anyone interested there and back, so nobody has to worry about parking. 

The special discounted ticket price ($50) includes: 
* An Authentic NJ Devils Baseball Cap

* A Cammalleri Bobblehead (for the 1st 10,000 fans)

* Post Game Photo on the Logo

* Specially priced group ticket (with no Ticketmaster fees or processing fees)

IMPORTANT - Regarding the Feb 6th Devils game:

The South Orange Parking Authority has offered to provide free round-trip Jitney service from the SOPAC lot in South Orange to and from the game, however they will ONLY do this if there is enough interest.

** If you are interested in going with the jitney, please email sorescue@verizon.net ASAP and let us know how many people would like to travel via jitney. **
