Writing in the Raw (workshop)
When the writing activity is ended, group members are invited to read their work aloud. Because we recognize that the work is “raw†– unedited and unrefined – the group only responds positively to the writing. We listen for what is strong, what is working, and what is memorable in each piece. We do not critique. The last week of the series is used to conduct manuscript reviews for members who want more balanced critical feedback of their writing, after they have revised their raw work.
