The Earls of Leicester
2015 Grammy Award-Winner! Best Bluegrass Album The Earls of Leicester is a tribute to the music of legendary bluegrass pioneers Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs and their band, Foggy Mountain Boys, whose seminal work in the ’50s and ’60s created the template for what we know as contemporary bluegrass, and popularized the music with an unprecedented mass audience. The “original†Earls were Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, dobro player Josh Graves, fiddler Paul Warren, tenor singer and mandolinist Curly Seckler, and bassist Jake Tullock.
