Salutations for Sepsis

Salutations for Sepsis combines yoga with sepsis awareness on Saturday April 30 at South Mountain Yoga in South Orange, New Jersey. The event will raise funds and awareness for a disease that impacts more than 1.6 million and takes more than 250,000 lives in the U.S. each year. The event will start at 2 pm with a special by-donation yoga class led by South Mountain Yoga Director, Emma Magenta, and will be followed at 3:00 pm with a free reception led by local family physician, Dr. Marnie Doubek, who nearly lost her son Zach to sepsis. Both events will be held at South Mountain Yoga, 18 S Orange Ave #2, South Orange, NJ 07079. Yoga mats will be available for anyone who doesn’t have their own and everyone is welcome to attend either or both events. All participants will receive “Suspect Sepsis, Save Lives” wrist bands, and information about sepsis will be available. The event will also feature a raffle, and food and drinks will be available for participants and family members and guests of all ages.
