Pixies

Pixies (“Where Is My Mind?,” “Here Comes Your Man,” “Hey”) are back on tour, performing at NJPAC in their only N.J. appearance! Beloved and enigmatic, influential and proudly difficult to categorize, the band (guitarist-vocalist Black Francis, drummer David Lovering, guitarist Joey Santiago and bassist Kim Shattuck) arrives packing new material and selections from The Lowdown album, along with favorites from Doolittle, Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde. Combining jagged, roaring guitars with melodic pop hooks, male-female harmonies and evocative lyrics, Pixies were one of the most ground-breaking American alternative rock bands of the late 1980s. L.A. punk band Fidlar opens the concert.
