Maplewood Greenhouse Sign Up

Maplewood residents are invited to sign up for bench space in the municipal greenhouse on Thursday Sept. 4, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Sign-up will take place at the Maplewood Town Hall meeting room, and doors will be open beginning at 4:00 pm for early birds who wish to get in line for first pick of spaces. Sign up will begin at 6:00 pm. The seasonal rental fee is $30, limit one bench per household, Maplewood residents only. You may bring cash or check made out to the Township of Maplewood. If you are unable to come at the scheduled time, you may send a representative. Beginning Monday, Sept. 8, any remaining spaces will be available during normal business hours at Maplewood DPW by contacting Donna Lenci, office manager, (973) 762-1175. If any spaces remain after Sept. 30, current bench space renters may then rent an additional bench at the DPW offices. The greenhouse is located behind Town Hall and is managed by the Maplewood Garden Club (maplewoodgardenclub.org ). The greenhouse season is from Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 through Memorial Day, 2015.
